Pa Wein ist eine Oberstufen-Schule mit zehn Klassen (1.-10. Stufe) und Kindergarten. Die Schule verfügt über fünf Gebäude, davon zwei temporäre und äusserst notdürftige Bauten mit Dächern und Wänden aus Wellblech, die allfälligen Stürmen und Fluten nicht standhalten würden. Die Schule benötigt mindestens zwei weitere Klassenzimmern um die temporären Gebäude zu ersetzen. Auch die sanitären Anlagen sind mangelhaft: Es gibt keinen Regenwasser-Tank um die Schule mit ausreichend Wasser zu versorgen.

At Pa Wine School - where 600Kids inaugurated a new building last March - we replaced the old school furniture with new school benches and desks for around 120 students. In addition, an elevated water tank now ensures a better water supply.

News 21. March 2018 - Inauguration Ceremony of Pa Wein School
After about four months of construction a new building with three classrooms has been finished at Pa Wein School. Accompanied by two of his daughters Dr. Michael Egli, Founder and President of 600Kids, attended the official inauguration ceremony.
News 15. March 2018 - Water tank construction at Pa Wein
The construction of an elevated water tank for water supply for toilet use is ongoing at Pa Wein school. The capacity of the water tank is 500 gallons. While 600Kids provides supervision, materials and required technical support, the construction is done by the local community.

Construction of 3 classrooms buildings in Pa Wein High School has been started in late August. Therefore the old building was torn down in order to realize construction of new building on the same plot. Children from the old classrooms were combined into some classes in existing rooms. The whole construction period will take four months as the plan and expected to be finished in the beginning of December.
